Sun and Sage ABA

Meet Ashley Halemano, M.A., BCBA
Founder & Clinical Director of Sun and Sage ABA
My Story
Hi, I’m Ashley! I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), a passionate advocate for neurodiversity-affirming care, and the proud founder of Sun and Sage ABA.

I’ve worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for over a decade, supporting children and families across home, school, and community settings. I specialize in early intervention, behavior reduction, and building meaningful, functional skills that help kids thrive in their everyday lives. I also have a strong passion for working with teens and tweens, especially around executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation, and identity development. I often integrate strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support flexibility, values-based decision-making, and mental wellness.

Another area close to my heart is parent training—empowering caregivers with practical tools, emotional support, and collaborative strategies to strengthen their child’s progress and the family system as a whole.
My approach blends evidence-based strategies with a deep respect for each child’s individuality and autonomy. My path to this work is personal—I grew up navigating complex family dynamics and have always been drawn to helping others heal, grow, and feel seen. That’s why I created Sun and Sage ABA: to offer compassionate, ethical, and culturally responsive services rooted in connection and empowerment.

In addition to leading my practice, I provide mentorship and training to RBTs and BCBA candidates, and I’m committed to fostering a team culture built on trust, transparency, and growth.

Outside of work, I live in Glorieta, NM with my partner Ryan and our dog Kaleb. I love hiking, dancing, eating chocolate, and spending slow mornings sipping coffee on the porch.

Thanks for being here. I’m so glad you found us.
