Sun and Sage ABA
Waitlist Process:
Sun and Sage ABA utilizes a two-step waitlist process to ensure services are clinically appropriate and that each child is matched with the right provider for their needs.

Step 1: Waitlist for Assessment
Families may first be placed on a waitlist for assessment.
An assessment may be conducted to:
-
Identify clinical need and medical necessity
-
Determine whether ABA services are appropriate
-
Recommend service type, intensity, and setting in alignment with Medicaid and state guidelines
Completion of an assessment does not guarantee immediate service availability.

Step 2: Waitlist for Services & Provider Matching
Following the assessment, families may be placed on a waitlist for services. This step allows us to thoughtfully pair each client with an appropriate service provider.
Provider matching is based on:
-
Clinical needs and treatment goals
-
Recommended service type (in-home, school-based, telehealth, or community-based)
-
Staff availability and level of training
-
Consideration of personality fit, learning style, and family dynamics to support strong therapeutic relationships
This intentional pairing process helps promote consistency, rapport, and meaningful progress.

Staying Active on the Waitlist
To remain active:
-
Families must respond to outreach regarding assessments, scheduling, or next steps
-
If we do not receive a response after multiple attempts, families may be moved lower on the waitlist to offer availability to other families who are ready to move forward
Families are always welcome to reconnect if circumstances change.

✨ Our goal is to provide ethical, individualized care by ensuring services begin when the right supports are in place.
